Pen and Ink sketches done on commission by sketch artist Dean Haeusler.
Most of the artwork created by Dean is produced on a "commission" basis.
When working on commission Dean will obtain his own photographs of the subject where possible, or he will work from your own photographs. Digital photos or scanned images need to be of a high resolution, and any images emailed need to also be of a reasonable high resolution.
The range of subjects that Dean's artwork portfolio covers, includes:
Private homes - Public buildings - Industrial and rural buildings - Heritage sites and antique vehicles - Motorcycles - Trucks - Planes - Boats - Machinery - Tools.
In fact the only limit is Dean's simple philosophy that - "If it breathes he won't sketch it". Therefore sorry but no portraits of people or animals.

How to commission a Pen and Ink Sketch by Dean Haeusler.
Sketches can make wonderful gifts for family or friends. Because they are versatile and can be quite personal if the sketch is of their family home or perhaps a favoured or sentimental vehicle or item. Dean has at times sketched old steam engines that had been part of the family farm for generations, and old tools etc of significance. Pen and Ink sketches by Dean Haeusler have often been used as gifts in presentations by community organizations, churches and groups to their members. Sketches are often used as gifts for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, house warmings, and any other time when gifts may be given, or for anytime when there need be no reason at all.
Dean predominantly uses an ink mixture which ranges in colour from sepia to brown, in fact 99 percent of his work for the past 20 years has been in this colour range and has become a trademark of his style. But he will use black in commissioned work if it is specifically requested. Most work is sized at approx. 12" x 16" (31cm x 41cm) , 10" x 20" (26cm x 51cm) , 16" x 20" (41cm x 51cm) and larger pieces at 20"x30"(51cm x 80cm). Dean uses technical drafting pens to sketch with, the smallest size 0.18mm the largest 0.7mm. Using such fine tools allows Dean to give the subject photo-realism and extremely high technical detail.
Dean also does sketches and illustration work for publication. For information click here.
